📜 Rules & Regulations – Isandor: Rimworld
Welcome to Isandor.
This Persistent World is built on survival-driven design — where scarcity, risk, and consequences shape every story. These rules exist to protect the experience for all players.
🔹 Out-of-Character (OOC) Rules
🤝 Respect Others
Rule: Harassment, hate speech, or toxic behavior will not be tolerated. Treat players and staff with courtesy at all times.
Why: Isandor thrives on cooperation and conflict — but conflict belongs in-character. OOC hostility damages immersion and community trust.
🚫👶 Age Policy (COPPA Compliance)
Rule:
- Players under 13 are not permitted.
- Players 13+ may participate, but public content must remain PG-13.
- Adult-themed RP may occur only in designated, restricted colonies.
Why: This ensures legal compliance, protects minors, and maintains a safe environment for the broader community.
🛡️ Staff Authority
Rule: Admin and DM rulings are final. Appeals may be submitted through proper channels.
Why: Like RimWorld’s storytellers, DMs shape the flow of Isandor. Without clear authority, the world loses structure and fairness.
🌐 Website Account Requirement
Rule: All players must register on the official Isandor website using a valid email address.
This account is required for:
- Game login authentication
- Colony/settlement management
- Donation recognition
Why: This protects world persistence, prevents abuse, and allows off-game colony management.
If you intend to donate to support the server, registration is mandatory to properly associate your account.
⚔️ No Cheating or Exploits
Rule: Exploiting bugs, duplication glitches, automation bots, or third-party programs is strictly forbidden.
Why: Scarcity is the heart of survival. Exploits undermine balance and destroy the shared struggle that defines Isandor.
🔹 In-Character (IC / RP) Rules
🚫✨ No Godmodding
Rule: You may not control another player’s character, dictate outcomes, or “auto-win” without DM approval.
Why: Stories emerge from tension and consequence. Godmodding removes risk and cheapens survival.
☠️ Permadeath
Rule: Death is permanent.
No OOC consent is required.
When your character dies:
- All personal progress is lost
- All carried items are lost
- All settlements and holdings tied to that character are forfeited
Why: Survival only matters when loss is real. Stakes define the world.
💉 Injuries & Consequences
Rule: Injuries, scars, amputations, and prosthetic replacements are valid RP outcomes and may result from PvP or DM events.
Why: Colonists bear the marks of survival. These consequences add weight and realism to the narrative.
⚖️ Faction Roleplay
Rule: A character may belong to only one faction:
- Colonists
- Raiders
- Guilds
Switching factions requires:
- DM approval
- Proper in-character justification
Why: Factions define identity and power structure. Blurred loyalties without RP consequence weaken narrative integrity.
⚔️🔥 PvP & Raids
Rule: PvP and raids require in-character justification. Random grief-killing is prohibited.
Why: Conflict drives story — not OOC vendettas. PvP must serve the narrative, not personal hostility.
🧠🚫 No Metagaming
Rule: Characters may only act on in-character knowledge. Using OOC information to avoid danger or gain advantage is forbidden.
Why: Survival depends on uncertainty. Metagaming removes tension and breaks immersion.
🎭 DM Events
Rule: DM-led events (raids, disasters, mechanoid incursions, cult uprisings, etc.) are authoritative. Players are expected to cooperate in good faith.
Why: DMs are the storytellers of Isandor. Without dynamic intervention, the world stagnates.
🏚️ No Permanent Safe Zones
Rule: Outside starter/tutorial areas, no location is permanently safe. Even faction hubs may face threats.
Why: Isandor is unforgiving by design. Absolute safety would undermine survival gameplay.
⏳ Time & Persistence
Rule: AFK farming, macros, automation, or time-abuse mechanics are prohibited. Progress must be earned through active participation.
Why: Persistence should feel earned. Automation removes the human struggle central to survival storytelling.
🔹 Enforcement
Violations may result in:
- Warnings
- Temporary mutes or suspensions
- Permanent bans
Immediate bans may occur for:
- Harassment or hate speech
- Cheating or exploit abuse
- Permadeath evasion
- Severe rule manipulation
Staff rulings are final.
✨ Final Word
On Isandor:
- Survival is harsh.
- Every decision carries weight.
- Every scar tells a story.
- Every death is final.
Endure… or be forgotten.
